Privacy policy

Last updated July 27, 2026

This policy explains what information Albumo collects when you host an event or share photos as a guest, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Albumo is a shared event photo album service operated by I-Dream IT Solutions (“Albumo”, “we”, “us”). Guests scan a QR code, take a photo, and it uploads to a shared album for that event. This policy covers our website and the Albumo album experience.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run event albums:

  • Photos and media you upload. Images guests contribute to an event album, together with the time of upload and any caption or display name provided.
  • Event details. Information a host supplies when creating an album, such as the event name, date, and album settings.
  • Host account information. If you create an account, the name and email address associated with it.
  • Waitlist email addresses. If you submit your email on our website, we use it only to notify you about availability.
  • Technical data. Device type, browser, approximate region, and basic usage logs used to keep the service reliable and secure.

Guests do not need to create an account or install an app to contribute to an album. Photo files may contain embedded metadata (such as capture time, and in some cases location) that the guest’s own device records.

How we use information

  • To host, display, and deliver event albums to the people entitled to view them.
  • To let hosts manage their events, moderate content, and export or download albums.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
  • To respond to support requests and, where you have asked for it, to send product updates.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use uploaded photos for advertising.

Who can see your photos

Photos uploaded to an event album are visible to the album’s host and to anyone the host allows to view it — typically other guests at the same event. The host controls the album’s visibility settings and can remove content. Please treat anything you upload as shared with everyone who has access to that album.

Sharing with others

We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers that host our infrastructure, store media, send email, or provide analytics, acting on our instructions.
  • Legal reasons— where we are required by law, or need to protect our rights, users, or the security of the service.
  • Business transfers— if Albumo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Retention

Event albums and their contents are kept for as long as the host keeps the album active, or until deletion is requested. Hosts can delete individual photos or an entire album. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Backup copies may persist for a limited period after deletion.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, or to ask that a photo of you be removed from an album, contact us at share@albumo.net. If you are a guest, you can also ask the event host directly, since they control their album.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so we encourage hosts to share album links only with intended guests.

Children

Albumo is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will provide notice through the service or by email. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
